News & Events
Starting on Sunday 5 January for five Sunday nights in Ilkley, instead of our evening service, we will be running a Christianity Explored course, looking at the basics of the Christian faith from Mark's Gospel. There'll be no singing, praying or collection, just a chance to engage with the earliest texts about Jesus's life. Come along and join in with the discussion, as we read, listen, and chat around tables.

Bethel is a growing Evangelical Church based in Otley and (since November 2009) Ilkley. We are a group of people who aim to live our lives with Jesus Christ, our God and Saviour, at the centre of everything. We aim to make the message of Jesus, and the teaching of the Bible, accessible, understandable, relevant and available to everyone. We want to serve the whole community around us in this beautiful part of Wharfedale, Yorkshire which is within easy reach of Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate.
Please have a look around this website; you’ll find out a lot about us, who we are, what we do and why we do it. If you live in the area we would love to see you sometime. Please come along anytime! You might be especially interested in Friends First which is on the first Sunday morning of each month and we are particularly delighted to have friends join with us!
For people who would really like to find out more about Christianity, starting with the absolute basics we run courses such as Christianity Explored and Glad You Asked. You will also find any of our Sunday meetings a good opportunity to find out more.
